A lineal differentiation was established in the sheep at 1st, 3rd and more lactations in relation to the traits included in the milk composition, except the content of mineral traces and the total protein to fat % ratio (P<0.05, P<0.01 and P<0.001). This lineal differentiation was more slightly expressed at 2nd lactation for some traits (P<0.05 and P<0.01). It was established that the fat content and the mineral traces were not influenced by the lactation number. The other traits included in the milk composition influenced the lactation number (P<0.05, P<0.01 and P<0.001).
