In the near future cosmic wheat will be a reality. In this relation it is necessary to point out the main aspects of developing such a direction of breeding. Probably the wheat plant grown in space will be very different from the conventional one. This paper is an attempt to show what kind of plant could be the new type of wheat from the breeding point of view.
