MOKREVA, T. and V. ROICHEV, 2004. An efficient correlation model for the study of grape cultivars' (Vitis vinifera L.) fertility. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 10: 423-428

The opportunities to apply Path analysis in the study of the dependence of grapevine fertility on different elements and factors related to plant genotype and environmental influence were established. The cv. Super early Bolgar was used as a model and the algorithm of Path analysis was described by means of multiple regression. It was found that the application of Path analysis in the study of the influence of different parameters on grape fertility allowed identifying the most important of them and the nature of their interaction during the formation of fertility of different cultivars. The parameters such as total number of clusters and average cluster weight, total number of fruiting shoots and fertility coefficient of 1 leading shoot have comparatively low but positive direct and indirect effects and high correlation coefficients with yield. The phenological indexes and average weight of 100 grains have high direct negative coefficients and high positive total indirect effects that eliminate each other.
