PETKOVA, D. and R. DONKOVA, 2003. Behaviour of metsulfuron-methyl in soil. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 9: 449–454
Metsulfuron-methyl has no effect or has short timing effect on soil microflora. It's mobility, adsorption and degradation are strongly affected by soil properties and climate conditions. At unsuitable relationships among these factors metsulfuron-methyl may be lasted for a long time in soil and be phytotoxic to following rotational cultures. As a easy soluble compound it has the potential to contaminate ground water at very low concentrations.
