Abstract

RAYCHEV, T., A. ARSOVA and M. BENKOVA, 2002. Estimation of quantitative rates for organo-mineral liming heavy metal polluted acid soils. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 8: 539–550

On the basis of the elaborated method for organo-mineral amelioration of heavy metals’ polluted acid soils, the main criteria for choosing new meliorants and determining their quantitative rates are discussed. Different mechanisms of chelating processes and their role in formation of buffer systems under organo-mineral liming such soils are performed. Results obtained in pot experiments with alfalfa grown on copper and zinc polluted soils amended with lime material and coal powder are used. Formulas for evaluation the melioration rates are presented.
