TOSKOV, K., V. KANAZIRSKA and I. DIMOV, 2002. Vegetation manifestations of pepper seedlings, grown on different mixtures. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 8: 353–357
The experiment was carried out during the period 2000–2001 with pricked-off pepper seedlings from variety Kurtovska kapiya 1619. Twelve mixtures from different combinations and ratios of organic and mineral substrata were included in the experiment.
The effect of mixtures on the biomass formation rate was studied during the period of seedlings growing. Considerable differences in the biomass accumulation in the end of the seedlings period (from 31 per cent to 35 per cent towards the control variant – fertilizer-soil mixture) were established.
The plants, grown on peat mixtures accumulate the greatest biomass amount, and the smallest one – on mixtures with main components rice hulls.
