Abstract

CHOURKOVA, B., 2002. Research on introduced birdsfoot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus L.) lines in view of their utilization for seed production. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 8: 365–370

In order to investigate the possibilities for seed production of birdsfoot trefoil a field trial was conducted between 1994–1996 at the experimental field of RIMSA – Troyan, using six introduced lines originating from Italy, France and USA.
The highest seed yield was obtained with line No 610 (France) – 0.049 t.ha–1 and cv. Rodeo (France) – 0.481 t.ha–1. Both of them can be recommended for growing on light grey pseudo podzolic soil in the Central Balkan Mountains.
