TUNA, C. and A. ORAK, 2002. Yield and yield comp onents of some important common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) genotypes. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 8: 215–218

This research was carried out in the experimental fields of Tekirdag Agricultural Faculty. Four common vetch varieties and three lines were sown with 150 seeds/m2 plant density according to the randomised block design. The effect of sowing in summer months on seed yield and yield components of common vetch was tested in 1998–1999 years. Results of variance analysis showed that effect of variety, year and their interaction on plant height, number of pods per plant, number of seed per plant and seed yield were all significant. Besides, effect year and variety on 1000 seed weight were found to be significant. According to the results, line 283 and variety Urem showed the best performance among other varieties.
