ALI SERVET TEKELI and ERTAN ATES, 2003. The determination of agricultural and botanical characters of some annual clovers (Trifolium sp.). Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 9: 505–508
The investigation was carried out between February-August in 2001–2002 at Trakya University of Agricultural Faculty in Tekirdag. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. Four different clover species (hedgehog clover, Mediterranean clover, lappa clover, narrow-leaved clover) were used. In the study, botanical characters [stem height (cm), number of leaf per plant, leaf length (cm), leaflet width and length (cm), stipules length (cm), diameter of main stem (mm), number of stem on plant, leaf/stem ratio, number of heads per plant, number of flowers per head, flower length (cm), diameter of head (cm), number of seeds per head, 1000 seed weight (g)] and agricultural characters [herbage yield (t/ha-1), dry matter (t/ha–1), seed yield (t/ha–1), crude protein (%)] were determined.
