Study on the Influence of the Substance of Benzymidazol upon Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni, Cultivated in vitro

The subject of study was the influence of the substance of BI benzymidazol upon Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni, cultivated in vitro. Two basic nutritive media were used, both with already familiar effect: the first nutritive medium for micro propagation with the influence of the cytokinin BAP (6-benzylaminopurine), and the second – for rooting with the influence of the auxin α-NAA (alpha-naphthile acetic acid). After substitution of the plant growth regulators in these media with different quantities of BI two new variants of nutritive media were formed. It was established that the substance of benzymidazol in the used quantities and combinations in the nutritive media has a certain auxin effect with Stevia rebaudiana. The results (from 84% to 99% – rooting) appear a solid enough reason for it to be recommended for usage.
