NIKOLOV, S., A. STANCHEVA and A. NIKOLOV, 2002. Fungicidal activity of natural plant products towards scab and powdery mildew from apple. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 8: 381–386

Study on plant extracts and formulated substances from plants fam Compositae, Umbeliferae and Crassulaceae with respect to powdery midew and apple scab, under greenhouse and in the field conditions has been carried out. It was established that the crude extracts in 0.15%–2% from plants showed between 59% and 98% technical efficiency (T.E) against apple scab, towards powdery mildew in concentrations 0.25%–3% between 34 %–90% T.E respectively. The formulated as fungicides extracts in 0.25%–2.2% showed between 67% and 93% T.E with respect to V. inaequalis. In 1.4%–2.2% showed between 63%–90% T.E against P. leucotricha. The formulated proteinase inhibitor (TPI) showed a specific electoral activity to apple scab but hadn't suchlike to powdery mildew. The apple trees treated with him was more stables to scab in comparison to standards.

Key words: apple scab, powdery mildew, proteinaze inhibitor, plant product
