Abstract

PETROV, P., 2002. Effect of the additives Odor Less An and Ergosan Des in compound feeds for weaned piglets. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 8: 429–432

An experiment was carried out with 80 weaned piglets from the Danube White Breed, divided equally into two groups. The investigation started immediately after weaning of the piglets on the 34th day after farrowing and continued to 101 days of age.
It was established that adding 200 g/t Odor Less An in the compound feeds for the experimental animals increased significantly the live weight at the end of the experiment by 3.028 kg. The average daily gain is also higher 303 g against 255 g for the control group. The conversion of the digestible energy, protein and lysine was improved by the additives.
The pigs received Odor Less An in the diets had fewer days with diarrhea – 1.13 against 4.8% for the control group.
