The possibility of restricting the cases of vitrification in sugar beet culture in vitro in its vegetative propagation has been studied. It has been worked with different quantitative ratio of components from growth medium divided into 4 groups: x1 – inorganic components, x2 – organic components, x3 – vitamins and x4 – hormones. 16 variants growth media have been tested. Favourable combinations of substances have been established which influence the normal micropropagation of sugar beet without symptoms of vitrification.

Key words: sugar beet, cultured in vitro, growth medium, vegetative propagation, vitrification
