The possibility for ripening tomato fruits in the storehouse under non-regulated conditions has been investigated. Five determinate and two semi-determinate varieties were tested. According to the morphological and physical indexes, the fruits were divided into three qualities: first, second and unusable fruits. It was found that the values of the correlation coefficients among the quantity of first quality ripened fruits and some of their morphological characteristics were from 0.015 to 0.561. Depending on the variety, the ratio of first quality tomatoes to the total number of fruit quantity varied from 24.36% in Spartak to 73.06% in Ruen.
