Abstract

KOSTOV, Y. and V. ALEXANDROVA, 1999. Some changes of the electrocardiogram in dogs. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 5: 937-943

Electrocardiografic studies of 67 dogs of different breeds were carried out by use of two systems of cardiac leads. Some disorders in the rhythm and conductivity of myocardium were registered, based on myocardites of different ethiology, pericardites and seldom on other types of organism diseases. The most frequent changes in the electrocardiogram were low voltage of wave R in standard lead I or its bifurcation, inversion of wave T, lowering of the ST-segment, ventricular tachycardia or bradycardia at AV rhythm, sinus arrhythmia, atrial flutter and less often appearance of gigantic waves - R and S, P-pulmonale and pathological wave Q.
